Before you enter a vampire cheat

The command console only accepts text after the current household is loaded. On PC and Mac, press Ctrl + Shift + C. On PlayStation, press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 together; on Xbox, press LB + LT + RB + RT. If the bar does not appear, click the game window first so it has keyboard focus.

Select the Sim you intend to change before entering a trait, skill or XP command. That keeps the target clear and makes it easier to tell whether the command worked. A vampire-specific command also depends on the Vampires Game Pack content being installed and available. A community help thread on the transformation guide reports that the occult trait is unavailable without that pack; this is not a substitute for checking your own game and installed content.

For a cautious first run, save a copy of the household, enter testingcheats true on its own line, and then submit one vampire command. Do not paste several stat changes together: if the outcome is unexpected, a single-command test tells you which line caused it. Console use on PlayStation or Xbox can affect trophies or achievements for the current save, so use a spare save when those matter.

Become a vampire or remove the vampire trait

To skip the in-game conversion route, select the Sim and enter traits.equip_trait trait_OccultVampire. This is a direct trait command, not a command that teaches the vampire system or chooses powers for you. A saved Sims Community walkthrough documents this line and notes that the pack must be available. It is community evidence, not an EA help article.

To reverse the occult trait, use traits.remove_trait trait_OccultVampire on the same selected Sim. Check the Sim after submitting it. The command is useful when the goal is to stop being a vampire; it should not be presented as a universal reset for Vampire Lore, rank history, powers or weaknesses. If you want to change ability choices while keeping a vampire Sim, use the separate respec route described below.

Vampire rank is linked to vampire XP. In normal play, Sims Community’s XP guide describes earning experience through vampire actions such as feeding, Dark Meditation and researching Vampire Lore; rank increases then award power points used in the ability panel. That distinction matters: XP progression gives access to points, while the player still chooses which powers and weaknesses to take.

The commonly reported rank-stat line is stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Occult_VampireXP 1593. The internal statistic name is case-sensitive only in appearance in most references, but preserve its spelling, underscores and spaces. The value 1593 is a community-used example, not an EA-published rank threshold. I could not independently verify the current command against an official EA cheat manual during this review, so keep a copied save and check the result in your game version.

Do not promise that entering a rank value will automatically unlock every power, clear weaknesses, or refund points. Watch the Sim’s rank/XP display after one test. If the rank changes but a power is still unavailable, open the ability panel and check its rank requirement and available points rather than repeating the stat command. Exact rank thresholds and progression details may change or behave differently across game updates and save states.

Vampire Lore skill cheat

Use stats.set_skill_level VampireLore 15 to set the selected Sim’s Vampire Lore skill to level 15. Keep this separate from vampire rank: the lore skill and occult XP are different progression tracks. Raising lore does not by itself turn a Sim into a vampire, assign a rank, or purchase a power.

If the command appears to do nothing, confirm that the correct Sim is selected, the Vampires pack content is installed, and the console accepted the line. A skill command changes the active Sim’s skill state; it is not a household-wide setting. If your goal is to learn the skill through ordinary play, researching Vampire Secrets on a computer is a gameplay route rather than a cheat.

Power points, powers and weaknesses: what resets?

There is no single verified console command in this guide that safely means “unlock every vampire power and remove every weakness.” The XP line changes progression; the trait-removal line cures vampirism. They are different operations. Vampire powers are chosen in the ability panel, and rank requirements or weaknesses can still apply after XP changes.

For changing selected abilities or weaknesses while keeping the Sim a vampire, players use the in-game Draught of Reconfiguration rather than treating it as a cheat code. Check its unlock and crafting details in the current game before relying on a recipe, because the interface and requirements are more dependable than copying an undocumented command. If you only want to cure the Sim, remove the vampire trait instead; that is not the same as refunding power points.

The safest sequence is to decide which state you want first: cure the Sim, progress rank, or reselect abilities. Back up the save, make one change, then reopen the ability panel. This prevents a trait change from being mistaken for a rank reset and avoids stacking several community-reported stat commands when the game’s current behavior is uncertain.

Check one cause at a time. Most failed commands come from an unavailable pack, the wrong selected Sim, a typo, or expecting one progression command to perform a different task.
